A Fancy Dress Competition was conducted for the Pre-Primary section at Mount Carmel School on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of November 2025 during school hours. The themes assigned were as follows: -Nursery-Vegetables -Junior K.G- Traditional State Wear -Senior K.G.- Advertisements Participants were instructed to introduce themselves with a short narration of the character they portrayed. Sharp objects, elaborate props, and readymade costumes were strictly prohibited. The judging criteria included the accuracy of the character portrayed, the creativity and materials used for the costume, and overall innovation. Nursery students enthusiastically dressed up as various vegetables such as carrots, brinjals, and tomatoes. Junior K.G. students showcased the cultural richness of different Indian states through beautifully designed traditional outfits. Senior K.G. students presented creative handmade costumes representing popular advertisements like Colgate, Rin, Maggi, and more. Parents had prepared engaging jingles which children confidently presented along with their costumes. The students confidence and creativity were evident in their performances, leaving the judges highly impressed. The first, second, and third prize winners from each class were awarded certificates by our Principal Fr. Pawan Saldanha, while all other participants received participation certificates. The event concluded with a photography session, capturing memorable moments of joy and creativity. It was indeed a fun-filled and enriching day for the children.
