The SIP Arithmetic Genius Exam was conducted to encourage and develop the mathematical skills of primary school students. The competition aimed to enhance students logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and speed in solving arithmetic problems while promoting interest and confidence in mathematics. The first round of the exam was successfully conducted at Mount Carmel School for students from Standard I to V. The students participated enthusiastically and displayed excellent mathematical abilities. Based on their performance, 515 students were selected for the second round. Among them, 79 students from Class I, 85 from Class II, 78 from Class III, 69 from Class IV, and 57 from Class V attended Round 2. Several students brought laurels to the school by securing Gold Medals in Round 2 of the Arithmetic Genius Competition. The winners were: Grade I – Navish Jaiswal, Riddhi Patil, Nevyn Fernandes, Vidhi Mishra, Vivika Poddar; Grade II – Hamdan Khan, Rigved Shetty, Rebina; Grade III – Bhavya Mistry, Kiaara Pandey, Sachit Mistry; Grade IV – Smit Chavan, Ayaan Khan, Shriyani Poojari; Grade V – Lekha Agedkar, Aafiya Mhate, Swara Kamble, Pranamy Shinde, Vihhan Khade. A special mention goes to Amaira Adoni from Grade IV, who cleared the third round and received a cash prize of ₹10,000 along with a trophy and certificate. The exam proved to be an enriching experience, helping students build confidence and develop a greater interest in mathematics.
