The Handwriting Competition for the Pre-Primary Section was conducted on 11th February 2026 at Mount Carmel School during regular school hours. The competition was organised with the objective of enhancing students writing skills and promoting neatness and proper letter formation. Participation was compulsory for all children of the Pre-Primary Section. The students were required to copy content from the board. Nursery children were given simple letters to copy, while Junior and Senior KG students were instructed to write cursive which was displayed on the board. The activity was carefully planned according to the age and writing abilities of the children. Teachers guided and encouraged the students throughout the competition, motivating them to write neatly and present their work in a careful and systematic manner. The children participated enthusiastically and made sincere efforts to write beautifully and accurately. The evaluation was conducted based on neatness, spacing, and proper formation of letters. All participants were appreciated for their effort and dedication. The competition proved to be a valuable initiative in building confidence and improving writing skills among young learners. Three students from each class who demonstrated excellent handwriting were selected as winners and were awarded certificates by Principal Father Pawan Saldanha. The event was successful in achieving its objective of fostering good handwriting habits among students.
