The Teacher’s Day celebration was conducted on 4th September 2025 at Mount Carmel School. Children came in casual dress to participate in the celebration. Students of the secondary section took on the role of teachers for the day. The children expressed their love and appreciation for their teachers by presenting gifts, cards, and flowers. Various games were played, songs were sung, and the students had a lot of fun. After the departure of the children, a special programme was organized by the Student Council at St. Joseph Church Hall for the teachers. The theme for the celebration was Retro. Teachers were welcomed at the entrance with music and songs. The programme commenced with a prayer dance performed by secondary students, invoking God’s presence and blessings. Beautiful cards were presented to the teachers by the Student Council. Primary children enacted their teachers’ favorite dialogues in the classroom, which was very well received. The dance performances were mesmerizing and added a vibrant flow to the programme. A heartfelt speech was delivered to thank the teachers for their constant hard work, guidance, support, and patience.Our Principals, Fr. Pawan Saldanha and Fr. Nelson Cardoza, along with Vice-Principal Fr. Ashwin DSouza and our Manager Fr. Regan DSouza, appreciated all the teachers, non-teaching staff, and helpers for their hard work, dedication, and contribution to the school. The programme included spot prizes and various games for everyone. A surprise dance performed by the teachers was the highlight of the day, and was received with great applause. Our parish priest, Fr. Lawrence DSouza, along with other priests, were also present for the celebration. The event concluded with a cake cutting ceremony, followed by a sumptuous lunch for all. A special gift was presented as a token of gratitude from the Principals and Management. Photos were clicked to capture the memorable moments with the entire Mount Carmel community. The Teachers Day celebration was truly a memorable event that strengthened the bond between teachers and students. A very big thank you is extended to the entire Student Council Committee for organizing such a beautiful and memorable celebration.
