Mount Carmel Feast Day and Managers Day was a dual celebration which was celebrated with great joy and reverence by the students and teachers of Mount Carmel School. The day began with a special Thanksgiving Mass to Our Lady of Mount Carmel. This mass was celebrated with great festive fervor in the church with the students and teachers in attendance. The Secondary program was held in the St. Joseph Church Hall. The program began with the hosts Medeeha and Jenil welcoming the Respected Fathers, Fr Pawan Saldanha, Principal (Secondary and Pre Primary) and Fr. Regan Dsouza, Manager Mount Carmel School , Honorable Guests, teachers and all the Carmelites. The prayer service was initiated by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. A soulful prayer service was followed by a prayer dance thanking the creator God. An enlightening speech on the significance of this day was given by Mohd. Ali Beg , student of 5th – C . This was followed by a dance performance by our dear students. The significance of the school feast day was distinctly expressed in the form of a short skit performed by students of std 5th, 6th and 9th together. The skit highlighted the theme “The scapulars promise and Mary’s Message”. A well performed skit which clearly brought forth the essence of the feast. Next, we had a dance performance. It was a very cheerful and lively performance by the students of 9th std. A light-hearted, fun filled standup comedy was the next highlight of the day. It was well performed by the students of std 8th. Students enjoyed this lighthearted humor. As the Birthday of our School Manager Fr, Regan D’Souza falls on 19th of July thus Managers Day was also celebrated together with the Mount Carmel feast day. Naira Qazi student of 5 std spoke a few words about our dear Manager. All students and staff wished Fr. Regan on his birthday. Students from all standards showered their love and appreciation by presenting him with lovely cards and bouquets. This was followed by the managers address for all present on this auspicious occasion. The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams- This message was well rendered by the school choir who sang the song -A Million Dreams. It was truly a great experience. Final event for the day was a dance performance by the students. After the dance the hosts wished a Happy Feast to all . To mark the Mount Carmel Feast students were served with a piece of cake before dispersal from the school. The school feast was celebrated by organizing a formal lunch for all the staff members of Mount Carmel School by the school management. The day ended on a sweet note with feelings of love, unity and gratitude.
